I believe that we all have positive energy to add to the universe, and the world would be a much better place if we were all allowed to share our unique God-given gifts. I feel fortunate to live in an age when I can freely post so many creations. The DonkeyPenguin website is my central location where I share my biggest passions (animals, children’s “new literacy,” and Dysautonomia awareness).
About the Donkey and Penguin
Let’s start with the oddly matched donkey and penguin. The humble and often neglected donkey has strengths and weaknesses far different than those of the penguin.
While everyone seems to love penguins, there is less excitement about donkeys. Donkeys are often misunderstood and ridiculed.
Yes, they are two very different creatures. But why are there such different levels of love and dislike for each? Surely, they each have good and bad traits.
Donkeys have a reputation for stubbornness. However if you ask anyone that has known a donkey as a friend, they will tell you that is not the case. Donkeys are very soulful, protective and loving. They are hardy workers, and they think before they act. If donkeys are told to do something unsafe, they will likely not do as told. Donkeys use their own judgement and do not succumb to pressure, a trait to be admired.
And penguins? For birds that can’t fly, they sure are popular! They get away with a lot because they are adorable and well-dressed. Behind their cuteness, they are also deeply devoted and social beings. And who can resist that waddle?!
Together, in the DonkeyPenguin world, I have made the donkey and penguin a curious and unstoppable duo. As long as they accept and appreciate each other’s differences, they bring strength and comfort to one another.
